PROJECT 2
I WAS ASKED TO DESIGN AND BUILD A PHYSICAL 1:1 STRUCTURE USING BAMBOO FOR THIS ASSIGNMENT WITH MY TEAM. THE CHARACTERISTIC OF THE MATERIALS WE USE, SUCH AS BAMBOO, ROPES, STEEL OR TENSILE FABRIC, IS WHAT WE WILL LEARN MOST FROM THIS ASSIGNMENT. THEN, IN ORDER TO CREATE A GOOD BAMBOO STRUCTURE FOR IT, WE NEED TO CONDUCT RESEARCH ON THE HUMAN-SCALE ANTROPOMETRICS AND ERGONOMICS. EXPLODED AXONOMETRIC, DETAIL DRAWINGS, ORTHOGRAPHIC DRAWINGS, AND TATTOO STAMPS FROM EACH TEAM MEMBER WILL BE HANDLED AS WELL TO REPRESENT OUR UNDERSTANDING AND RESEARCH ABOUT OUR BAMBOO CONSTRUCTION. WE WILL ALSO HAVE A 15-MINUTE VERBAL PRESENTATION.
MY BAMBOO
MYBAMBOO PROJECT BREAKDOWn
For this assignment, our group was challenged with creating a durable and functional structure that could withstand numerous adverse conditions while continuing to stand. The prompt was "SAFEKEEPING." Every step of the way, we had to take a lot of factors into account, such how to store the supplies on site, how to work around the tree and the majority of the other structures that were already there, and how to build—for many of us, this was our first time performing any kind of construction! Although it was a protracted and challenging process, we made a lot of wonderful memories while working together to overcome the obstacles in our way. We all learned a lot from it and came to value it.
THE GROUP OVERALL Vision
What we wanted out of this project
When we began this assignment, our entire group was aware that we would have a few more obstacles to overcome than the other groups because our prompt did not exactly give much room for the imagination in terms of a secure place to store your belongings. However, after giving it some thought, designing it, and talking to residents, we realised we wanted a building that not only served the purpose of the prompt but was also useful, attractive, and something the neighbourhood could utilise together.
OUR Mission
01. Functionality
Making it functional was the first step in our quest. As practical and usable as possible while maintaining the innate creativity we all possess. This required making concessions. Walls are possible, although there are no acute 90-degree angles. We could construct a roof, but it would have to be breathtaking to stand beneath and gaze up at.
02. Purpose
Making ensuring the building served its purpose was the second step. It needed to be protected from the severe elements and provide space for the people who utilised it to store their equipment and supplies. In order to fulfil this requirement, we made the decision to interview a few locals in order to better understand what THEY wanted to have in their space—something that would benefit not just us but also the neighbourhood.

LIFELONG LEARNING
This TGC came to me as a result of all the bamboo combining techniques I've learned from friends and from watching tutorials on YouTube. In addition, I learn a lot of techniques for using particular equipment to produce particular results for the materials, as well as how to tighten bamboo with ropes. After that, I learned not only about ergonomics and anthropometry but also about how to tighten the bamboo with ropes or in other ways so that it would be stronger and more resilient in the future.
COMMUNICATION SKILLS
I've been able to communicate effectively with some of my group members, but not with all of them, and as a result, I've come to realise that communication is one of the most crucial aspects of group projects because when we are building our bamboo structure, many people are confused about our concepts and designs. Since a lot of things can't be completed on time and our progress has slowed as a result, I believe that the first skill we should learn anytime there is a group project is effective communication. This will ensure that the project's outcome is pleasant and free of dispute.
thinking & problem solving skills
The structure that my team and I want to build is blocked by a tree, which makes it more difficult for us to complete the project. We must either figure out a way to design the structure around the tree or choose to ignore it. In addition, we strive to construct the wall into a certain pattern style in order to avoid making it exactly square as it was, but this presents some challenges for us in fully confirming it. After working through all the issues, we were able to come up with a structure that we are happy with and proud of thanks to our mutual discussions.
