ARCHITECTURE HISTORY & THEORY
PROJECT 1:
ANALYSIS REPORT
OVERALL REFLECTION
LIFELONG LEARNING
DISCIPLINE SPECIFIC KNOWLEDGE
COMMUNICATION SKILLS
I started to think that learning architecture history and theory would be extremely boring, and I hoped to finish the module as quickly as possible. However, to my surprise, I ended up enjoying listening to the history of architecture because it was different from the history I had learned in high school. The history I learned in this module was all about the ancient knowledge of building and the incredible way by which people constructed buildings hundreds or thousands of years ago without using any metals or machinery. I can listen to it over and over again without getting tired of it since the mystery was so fascinating. No matter how many times I listen to it, I never get tired of it since it was genuinely astounding that humans in the past could create so many wonderful structures without the aid of current instruction and understanding. The buildings are mainly still standing in the real world, though some may have been corrupted or are currently being rebuilt. Currently, I believe that history is an excellent place to start for me to truly understand how the development of earlier architectural styles led to modern architecture as we know it today.

The first TGC I selected was Lifelong Learning. I choose this TGC because every time I conduct research on historical structures, I always gain new information about them, such as the method, style, pattern, and significance of the structure, among other things. In the historical class and in the movies that our lecturer showed, there are seemingly unlimited amounts of information for me to investigate. I begin to learn and consider it from an old architectural perspective in order to comprehend how people develop their mindset to better themselves or successfully explore brand-new concepts to construct certain buildings.

The second TGC I chose was Discipline Specific Knowledge since every time I read up on historical buildings, I pick up a tonne of architectural knowledge and information. The information I learn or read from it is then very useful for me to improve in the future as the way to understand how the architecture is to understand its history and theory about it, without a doubt for that. As a result, I always remember the information that I research from the internet or the books that I read from it and apply it in my assignments while doing the assignments.

The final TGC I select is Communication Skills because this module requires a group project, and I've seen that this skill is crucial because, as we all know, effective communication will help everyone understand each other's goals and objectives. Because of this, effective teamwork can enable the realisation of the dream. I feel that communication skills are the No. 1 thing that we should master it whenever there is a group project as no communication means no progress for the team. If the communication skills are not good enough, we will suffer a lot of unnecessary issues such as team members are not clear what we are doing or what we should do while doing the research or might waste time doing the wrong things. As far as we are aware, there is no such thing as a single hero who can save every universe.

Finally, I would like to remark that I was genuinely surprised by myself because I had previously believed that history was boring and that there was nothing to be learned from it. I truly gained a lot of knowledge from this module, and I'm thankful that the lecturer and module coordinator consistently post vital information to our online platforms, such Facebook and Telegram, to ensure that we are not disoriented or miss any crucial information during our learning week.
