FINAL PROJECT

I was required to re-examine and re-investigate the activity and particular action (safekeeping) from our 1:1 bamboo structure into a number of sensory locations for this final assignment. A NARRATIVE MUST ALSO BE CREATED FOR OUR MODEL IN ORDER FOR US TO UNDERSTAND THE FEELING OR SPACE WE WERE TRYING TO SHOW TO OTHER PEOPLE. WE ARE ONLY ALLOWED TO USE GLASS, CONCRETE, TIMBER, AND STEEL TO CREATE OUR MODELS. TO INCLUDE THEM IN OUR MODELS, WE MUST DO RESEARCH ON THEIR CHARACTERISTICS, PROPERTIES, CONSTRUCTION METHOD, AND SENSORIAL QUALITIES.THEN, IN ORDER TO PRESENT OUR IDEAS AND DESIGN DURING THE PRESENTATION, WE NEED TO DRAW ORTHOGRAPHIC DRAWINGS, EXPLODED AXONOMETRIC, 4 TATTOO STAMPS, AND AN A3 ABSTRACT DRAWING ON OUR PRESENTATION BOARD.

What do you wish to SAFEKEEP forever till you’re old? Since we will encounter various situations, feelings, emotions throughout this journey, I believe that the memories we make along the way are the best things to preserve in our hearts for all time.

 

We must go through five life stages – babyhood, childhood, adolescence, adulthood and old age. There is no way to avoid them, and you will always look back on the experiences you had while going through the journey.

LIFELONG LEARNING

This TGC came to mind because, even though it may not be as good as other people's, I have learned how to organise the information on my presentation board and the narrative that I wanted to share with others as well as drawings. I am happy about this because it means that, in the future, I will be able to master it and be better than I am now.

DISCIPLINE SPECIFIC KNOWLEDGE

My research on the precedent study in architecture taught me a lot about materials, architectural principles, light and shadow, and other things. This has changed the way I design and consider how all of the information I've been studying may enhance my space and senses.

thinking & problem solving skills

I initially struggled to communicate my thoughts and design to my teacher since they were too contained and boring, but as time went on, I steadily learned more information about precedent research in architecture. I came to the conclusion that my building could be interesting by displaying light and shadow as well as the sensory experience while moving around the area I had designed for the user. As a result, I gained confidence in my project and believed that even though it is unremarkable from the outside, the interior is interesting to display.
