Thinking & problem solving skills
For this assignment, I took it easy because I thought making my toy would be a breeze. Obviously, I was mistaken. I've faced a few problems, especially with my materials. The glue was not strong enough and some cardboards were flimsy. In the end, I managed to solve them by replacing the materials and changing the quality of the glue.
LIFELONG LEARNING
To make my ideas more interesting, I've searched for a lot of peculiar pictures on Pinterest to get my engines turning. Since my assigned body part was the leg and feet, there were few images of toys that focused on the leg. Hence, I had to rely on my ideas for the best toy possible.
DISCIPLINE SPECIFIC KNOWLEDGE
During lectures, our lecturer gave us insights on a few designers on how they think and plan their designs. He has also encouraged us to watch documentaries like "Ways of Seeing" by John Berger and an episode about Cass Holman on Netflix. It has opened my eyes to how I should view this assignment as a whole.
