ASSIGNMENT 02: SPATIUM

For the second assignment of the ITD module, we are required to draw our own house spaces such as study room or bedroom from three-dimensional space to two-dimensional space drawing as well as draw one of the furniture with details drawings. This exercise will let us understand how drawing conventions and calculations are used in the real-life construction field.

DISCIPLINE SPECIFIC KNOWLEDGE

One of the important things I learned during this assignment is that when you want to draw the section view, you can't rush you need to slowly think, measure, sketch, and also outline so the result of the drawing will be a good success foro it. As we know practice makes perfect so no need to rush while drawing you need to calm down and slowly enjoy the progress and you will create an amazing result of artwork.

LIFELONG LEARNING

During this assignment, I had to learn a lot of techniques to draw detailed floor plan, elevations, and section as well as detail drawings of furniture and other objects. I could say that this assignment let me improve a lot of my drawing skills and also the lecture that I listen to also improve my knowledge and ideas for my drawings.

THINKING & PROBLEM SOLVING SKILLS

At first, I a bit struggled with the elevation and section drawing as I need to imagine the whole three-dimensional to two-dimensional space. Then I go ask my friends and my tutor about my drawings is it correct and slowly I start to find a way to draw elevation and section view drawings. Lastly, now elevation and section drawings are not a problem for me anymore.
